We had our first camping experience as a family this weekend and the girls loved it! There were a few hiccups like a sleeping mat getting a hole in it and a child throwing up in the middle of the night, but all in all a success.
The girls were very exciting to give me flowers.
Getting wood for the fire.
Helping build the fire.
Sitting by the fire with the best toys; sticks.
Uncle Jared and Auntie Katie, still jet lagged from arriving in the country the day before, stopped by for a visit.
Auntie Katie teaching the girls how to roast marshmallows.
Emma taking cues from her Auntie.
Millie was skeptical of the roasted marshmallows at first but Auntie Katie convinced her to try and they were a hit.
Sparklers were enjoyed just before bedtime.
Time for bed. The girls had for once been begging to go to bed for the last half hour, they were so excited to sleep in tents. They went to lie down in the tents and listened too their audio book, then when the stars came out we went to have a look before all going to sleep. Even after having to have both girls in with me in a two man tent, very snuggly, and Emma being sick in the night, they can’t wait to go again!
